National Synchronized Swimming Championship and China Synchronized Swimming Open 2011 to be Staged in Water Cube
Immediately after the completion of international diving series where Chinese diving team won all eight gold medals, another international competition of a new round will be launched in Water Cube. From April 22 to April 25, 2011, the National Synchronized Swimming Championship and China Synchronized Swimming Open 2011 will be held in the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube). The event is the top-grade professional synchronized swimming competition of China and is also the second synchronized swimming event held in the Water Cube after Beijing Olympic Games.
The event is a synchronized swimming event of the highest level held annually in China, and the top international synchronized swimming teams are invited for the event, which makes the event much influential in the international synchronized swimming community. 200 top synchronized swimmers at home and abroad will participate in the event. Synchronized swimming teams from Beijing, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Guangdong, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and Tianjin will participate in the National Synchronized Swimming Championship and international synchronized swimming teams from Austria, the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and China will participate in the China Synchronized Swimming Open.
Synchronized swimming is highly ornamental and is very popular with Chinese people. The event will be held on the evenings of the 22nd, the 23rd, the 24th and the morning of the 25th April, each synchronized swimming team may conduct public training during the day time. Audiences can enjoy top-grade synchronized swimming performances and competitions in addition to tourism and leisure. The National Synchronized Swimming Championship and China Synchronized Swimming Open 2011 is hosted by the State General Administration of Sport Management Center Swimming Association and the Beijing Municipal Sports Council, is organized jointly by Beijing Sports Competition Administration Center and Beijing National Aquatics Center Co., Ltd., is promoted by CTV Sports Entertainment Co., Ltd. and is implemented by Beijing Inter Sports Co., Ltd.
