Yue Peng, BSAM Chairman attended International Summit of Large Stadiums and Gymnasiums
On October 25, COLISEUM International Summit of Large Stadiums and Gymnasiums co-hosted by National Stadium Corporation was convened in Bird Nest Cultural Center. Yue Peng, chairman of BSAM and National Stadium Corporation attended the summit and delivered keynote speech. Guests of Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, Chinese Sports Association and other relevant institutions and over 200 representatives in sports venues from the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, etc. attended the summit.
On the summit, Chairman Yue Peng introduced the Olympic stadiums constructed and operated by BSAM and laid focus on the after-game marketing, diversification, branding and public welfare of the National Stadium. He pointed out that BSAM will firmly focus on the strategic positioning of the capital’s four centers, and that BSAM will play an active role in the construction of the international communication center and cultural center. By operating large scale activities, tourism services and business development, National Stadium will build a platform for the exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign large stadiums industry, to promote the establishment of an international federation of stadiums and gymnasiums, to facilitate information exchange, resource sharing, mutual assistance and win-win cooperation, to effectively enhance the international influence of Bird Nest’s brand, to set up a model for after-game operation of large stadiums and to make contribution to building a harmonious and livable Beijing that tops the world.
Delegates fully affirmed and highly appraised the after-game operating results of National Stadium. During the meeting, the Olympic Stadium in Athens, Greece expressed its desire to establish a partnership with the National Stadium.
COLISEUM is a Series Theme Conference on global sports venues and arenas and will hold 5 meetings in Europe, the United States, the Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America respectively each year. It is the first time for the National Stadium to hold the meeting in China, and the summit will bring together experts of global sports venues and relevant industries. The conference will be centered upon 11 topics, including location, design, construction, business, technology, operation, safety, environmental protection, experience and education to share successful experience of sports venues and predict the prospect of development trend. It is an important reference for the construction and operation of sports venues in 2020 Winter Olympics.
